Into the offing

'Offing' - def. the furthest part of the sea visible from the shore.

Well, we managed to sail through the first night in what were very light winds.....
at first light we noticed that we had a fish on the line we always tow behind the boat whilst sailing.
Poor bugger must have been towed along all night without us realising. It was as dead as a dodo when we reeled it in.

Apparently it's pretty unusual to catch one of these less than 100 miles from the Algarve coast.

This is a picture of Heidi our cat who crossed the Atlantic with Mike last time. She always had a good look in the bucket each morning to see what had been caught....
