Sailing dead downwind can be quite uncomfortable. There's no swell or waves to speak of but tonight the wind increased to over 20 knots which can make for quite boisterous conditions.
A swift (or maybe it was a swallow) circled the boat for a little while and I could tell it was thinking about landing for a rest but obviously decided against it and carried on it's way :(
How people can willingly do this for weeks at a time is beyond me......
Whoooooaaaaa, we just surfed down a wave at 9.5 knots (for those who don't know - that's fast!)
